Aqua Fitness
NYF offers a competition size outdoor heated pool and spa. Aqua Aerobics classes are offered throughout the week. Weekday Pool Hours: 5am-10pm. Mon/Wed/Fri pool and spa are closed from 1pm-3pm. Weekend Pool Hours: 7am-8pm. Lap swim is also available during pool hours. OPEN LAP SWIMMING AVAILABLE: Monday: 5-8:30am, 9:30am-1pm, 3-5:30pm, 6:30-10pm Tuesday: 5-8:30am, 9:30am-5:30pm, 6:30-10pm Wednesday: 5-8:30am, 9:30am-1pm, 3-5:30pm, 6:30-10pm Thursday: 5-8:30am, 9:30-10:30am, 11:30am-5:30pm, 6:30-10pm Friday: 5-8:30am, 9:30am-1pm, 3-10pm Saturday: 7-8:45am, 11am-8pm Sunday: 7am-8pm Pool is available for lap swimming Mon-Fri, 8:30-9:30am, however shallow side is being used for Aqua Aerobics at this time. Pools are not just for swimming anymore! Many forms of exercise, from aerobics to step training to running have taken to the water, joining traditional swimming as among the world’s most popular fitness programs. Boxing

ZUMBA!

Pilates
This class offers you a body balancing system that strengthens, lengthens, realigns and defines your body. Pilates is an exercise-based system that aims to develop the body's "centre" in order to create a stable core for all types of movement. Eventually the body will move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort. Postural changes as well as increased flexibility are only a few of the benefits Pilates provides.
Yoga Classes
Yoga provides many physical and mental benefits, including improved physical fitness, mental clarity, stress control and general well-being. Yoga also increases strength by toning the muscles. Each class is designed to build the student’s strength and flexibility and inspire peace and tranquility. Yoga class is a place and time to concentrate on yourself, to workout, relax, breathe, and feel all sensations in your body and let go of tension.
Wallyball
New York Fitness offers Wallyball in the racquetball courts. Check with the front desk for upcoming Wallyball clinics and play times or reserve a court for your own game.
Active Aging
Presented by Amador County Active Aging Community Task Force and hosted by New York Fitness. For those 50 and older. Practice balance, mobility & strength-training exercises to reduce chronic disease and the risk of falling.
Personal Training
A variety of personal training packages are available. Personal training is a great way to jump start a new fitness plan, get motivated to reach your goals, tailor your workout to your specific needs, and learn more about your individual nutritional and exercise requirements.
Cardio
A total body cardio challenge combining a variety of step, kickboxing, and low-impact techniques to keep you in your target heart rate zone and burning fat.

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program
New York Fitness now offers the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults. The program offers physical activity, health education, and social events for Medicare-eligible and Group Retiree members, usually those age 65 years and older, but, in some cases, those of any age deemed disabled and receiving Medicare. With the SilverSneakers Program, members have a complimentary membership to New York Fitness, allowing them access to the entire facility including a wide variety of senior friendly aquatic classes, strength and cardio classes, stretch classes, and fitness equipment. In order to be eligible for participation in the SilverSneakers Fitness Program and receive these services at no cost, members must be enrolled in participating supplemental insurance plans. Participating insurance companies include, but are not limited to, United Healthcare Group’s Secure Horizons, PacifiCare, and Humana Gold Choice PFFS. New York Fitness suggests calling the 1-800 number listed on the back of your insurance card to check if you are eligible for the SilverSneakers Fitness Program. The SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a great opportunity for Amador County’s older adults to access a safe exercise environment at no additional cost. New York Fitness is excited to offer this service to Amador County residents and encourages interested persons to call for more information or visit the SilverSneakers website:www.silversneakers.com. For those who are not eligible for the SilverSneakers Fitness Program, New York Fitness still offers the same great services at a discounted senior rate.
